Recent court cases like those filed against Children’s Dental Group which may result in a 100 million-dollar settlement are raising the risk-factor awareness around waterline testing for dental practices. Today, only an estimated 20% of dentists test their waterlines at least once per year. Even worse, the most commonly used tests are not approved by the EPA, creating significant health and litigation exposure for most of those who are testing their waterlines.

Making the move to begin testing your dental water at least quarterly is a great start. But if your whole team isn’t aligned on how to test, how the records are kept, and more — you’re still facing serious health and legal liabilities. Join our panel of experts on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 1 PM (EST) for a free webinar. We’ll cover different aspects of infection control for your dental office and focus on how to get everyone onboard. Don’t let problems with you dental unit water line (DUWL) testing and compliance measures jeopardize your dental license!

In the webinar, we’ll address things like:

  • How infection control procedures and dental water testing fits into the daily priorities for dentists, hygienists, assistants, and other dental professionals.
  • Realistic time and effort expectations for water testing based on our panelists’ real-world experience.
  • The pros and cons of different dental water testing methods and systems for record keeping.

Moderator for This Webinar

Brandi Marzolino is the founder of Courage and Joy at Work, where she helps dental leaders build teams and lives that actually feel good to lead. After two decades in the industry, she knows the burnout, the people-pleasing, and the perfectionism intimately…and she’s done playing that game.

Through her Empowered LeadHERship Experience for Women in Dental, Brandi works with high-capacity women who are tired of betraying themselves for the sake of being liked. Her approach blends practical leadership tools with the kind of personal growth work that actually shifts things, ultimately helping leaders reconnect with their voice, their worth, and the reason they got into this work in the first place, leading them to deeper and more meaningful connections with their life and work.

She also hosts The Real Talk of Dental podcast, bringing unfiltered honesty, humor, and humanity back into conversations about what it really takes to lead in this industry without losing yourself. From navigating generational dynamics, self-care and raw truth, to calling out burnout culture, she’s creating space for leaders to be real.

Rooted in a sober lifestyle, deeply spiritual, and wildly human, Brandi doesn’t do fluff. Her mission is simple: to remind people that courage and joy aren’t luxuries, they’re leadership essentials.

When she’s not coaching or recording, you’ll find her walking forest trails, riding her Peloton and lifting heavy weights, or laughing with her husband Ian and their beloved cat, Kelly.

Originally from Vernal, Utah, Dr. Shaw now resides in Argyle, Texas, with her husband, Luke, and their three sons. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, camping, working out, spending time with her three sons and catching the latest movie. Dr. Shaw finds great fulfillment in helping her patients achieve healthy, confident smiles and takes pride in providing compassionate, high-quality care.
